Tasmia Khan recently received her Doctor of Medicine diploma and will be applying to Psychiatry Residency in Fall of 2022. She is passionate about psychiatry, medical research, and advocacy for the Deaf/Deaf-Blind/Hard of hearing communities.

Tasmia grew up in Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Deaf Studies at Boston University. She received her Doctor of Medicine diploma in 2022 from Medical University of the Americas.

She is proficient in American Sign Language, Bangla, and Spanish. 

Currently she is doing research with the Yale Department of Psychiatry at the TMS and Ketamine Clinic.

She is currently a student administrator of Brooklyn Brain and Mind Institute research group at Interfaith Medical Center. She has published 13 psychiatry papers during this time. She recently presented two posters at the American Psychiatric Association Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana this May of 2022.
